JAMIE WONG

My Name is Jamie Wong. I was born In Gainesville, Florida, but I spent most of my childhood bouncing around the Eastern United States including cities like New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Cape Canaveral, Florida, Pawleys Island, South Carolina,  Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and where I consider home, Ellery, Illinois. 

 

My life has been dedicated to art. Sitting down and drawing has always been my safe place. I was fortunate enough to cross paths with an amazing teacher in the 5th grade  named Betsy Ross, who encouraged me to pursue art and express myself though art mediums rather than words. As a student I was replicating paintings from my favorite artists such as VanGogh, Monet, Da Vinci and Salvador Dali, all of whom Mrs.Ross introduced me to. I knew from a very young age that art was my life.

 

I've been expressing my art though tattooing since 2013. I Apprenticed under Jacob White, Owner/artist at Best Tattoos INC in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Through dedication and hard work I've been able to express my creativity in a way that sets me apart from the everyday tattoo artist. I have an insatiable desire to grow, learn, and improve my artwork with each and every tattoo I create.

 

I'm currently tattooing at different locations throughout Central Florida. I bring a whole new element to the table when it comes to art and photography. I do my best to make clients feel welcome and stay dedicated to giving back into our community as we grow together.
